Remission . . . such an awesome word! PDF Print E-mail

Hi everyone,

So we got the official call Friday night at 6 that Jon's tests came back fine.  It did however give us a heart attack when we saw NH Oncology on the caller ID.  It made for an extra sweet Father's Day though.  We met with the Doc on Monday and he used the sweetest word I've ever heard--Remission.  It's over thank God.

Jon is still dealing with some side effects and it will probably take 2-3 months before he's back at 80% energy wise.  But now it's just recovering from the Chemo.

Thank you all for everything!  We really can't say it enough and the words don't even do justice to how we feel.  You have all been so wonderful and your cards, notes, gifts, etc. have really kept Jon going.

All our love and thanks,

Kira

Hi everybody,

Funny timing--less than a week away from starting Chemo again and I'm feeling much better.  It was a rough two weeks and thank you all for your support.  I had a great time on Friday and sorry about the mask and hand sanitizer--we all know how filthy you people are.  I wish it could have lasted until Monday.  I'm sorry that I didn't get a chance to talk to everyone but at least hopefully I said "hello".

My hair is falling out and I'm gaining some of the weight back.  Not looking forward to Monday and my girlish figure is now destroyed.

Thanks again to everyone and more to follow later,

Jon Forest Mullaly

From the wife:
I can't even begin to express our thanks for last Friday.  It was overwhelming to see such an amazing turn out.  I'm still shocked at all the silent auctions, 50/50, etc. and the funds generated.  We are truly blessed with beautiful family and friends.  I can only begin to imagine the time and dedication it took to organize.  A special thanks to Rob and everyone involved!  Please give them a tremendous thank you from us.
